Steller's Jay

Drawing I made in 2017 of a Steller's Jay, which has since become one of my favourite birds. (In big part due to my friend & stellar photographer Cri, who you should definitely check out over on https://twitter.com/CrawliesWithCri . Photo reference used with permission.)

Comparison of the pencil version & an inked copy.

Close ups of the scanned pencil & ink versions. (Dots due to inking a copy of the pencils printed on my old laser printer. Looking at it now, it gives it a sort of nice screentone effect.)

The finished pencil drawing.

Few process steps I snapped along the way.
