Weevil

A weevil done with various mediums in my small moleskine sketchbook. (Reference once again by my friend https://twitter.com/CrawliesWithCri )

The finished & scanned drawing.

The beetle sketched out with a Caran D'Ache Sketcher pencil. (Quite like the soft feel those have.)

Inked in with a Pentel Pocket Brush (If you've not tried one, you definitely should!)

Colored with various Faber Castell PITT art pens.

Bark filled in with a Winsor Marker/Faber PITT.

Wash of watercolour for the background.

Finishing touches with a white ink Pilot pen for hair and highlights. Done!
